Internet Game: Dragons of Atlantis

Dragons-of-Atlantis I started playing Dragons of Atlantis at the time I opened an account at Google Plus, and I found that this is another amusing Internet game that the masses would love to play. The age and sex of the player do not actually matter:young and old; male and female can participate to play this game. This type of Internet game will teach the players many things such as how to care life especially the life of your love ones and other people close to you, how to protect your rights and your properties and the importance of unity between families, other people and nations.

According to the prophecy after the seventy thousand years ago, the ancient ones returned. They wove the threads of life again and created the four tribes of Atlantis. It was said that these four tribes must battle one another for their very survival.

To start the game a player will select first which of the four tribes he will represent  and register his name and location. The four tribes are:

  • The Primus
  • The Zolmec
  • The Amazon and
  • The Solerian

All these tribes are wise and clever. Their motives are to win the war because whoever wins will inherit the future of all humankind. But listen well…for the key to winning the war are the dragons.

Short accounts of the four Tribes

  • The tribe Primus is brilliant and cerebral. They are masters of Science and the Blue energy. They are considered as the first human tribe. They are peaceful and analytical with an unspoken singleness of purpose. The Primus is believed to have more of the ancient ones life thread than the other tribes.
  • The second tribe is the Zolmec. The fierce Zolmec are attuned to all living things especially the dragons.
  • The third are the Amazon. The Amazons are mighty and courageous female warriors. The Amazons fear no man.
  • The fourth tribe is the Solerian. The Solerians are cunning, organized and unmerciful tribe. Their target is to win the war at any cost.

Before the war starts between tribes – it is known to all that each tribe started from nothing. So players who will represent the four tribes would have first to build and construct a mighty city or a kingdom to provide sanctuary for its people while preparing for war and players are given one week of protection from attack as part of the peace truce but each tribe will work quickly.

So each player representing the four tribes will choose the best place to occupy on the map of Atlantis, where the soil is fertile with water and resources nearby. And it is expected that much work lies ahead in building houses, farms and factories and at the same time raising a mighty army.

Each player will need the following:

  • food
  • lumber
  • metals and
  • stones

There is a shop available in the Atlantis where to buy that stuff and the money they would use to buy the items are rubies – they are pre-rewards given to the players.

The players are advised to construct lumber mill that can produce at least 100 long tons of lumber per hour with a capacity of 10,000. The lumber mill will furnish logs to use to build more houses and for their weapons. Also each player is advised that since building the city takes time – they would have to produce more resources in the rich fields outside each kingdom.

So before the war will take place between tribes – first they would have to focus building a mighty kingdom and produce more food, lumber, metals, stones and other things they would need. So players need patience, will, determination and hard works. Dragons of Atlantis are available at Google+ and Facebook social networks.

And according to people who already have played this game - they considered it as an extremely addictive once you start. So you players should have to control your times - and don't forget your other responsibilities.

When to Reap Joy

Positive mental attitude

Positive mental attitude (Photo credit: kelly cree)

The fear and doubt are some of the human weaknesses. They can cause failure – in our love life, our daily life and our dreams to come true. Recently I attended training and seminar at Olaya, Riyadh City hosted by the Daxen Diamond Team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The said training and seminar are free to enjoy by all its Daxen members and distributors here in KSA (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia) and also for all the Daxen members and distributors around the world.

The main topic of the event was about DOP (Distributor Orientation Program). It was really interesting topic to listen to. Anyone will benefit from absorbing the idea and knowledge feed by mentors including those who are not Daxen members and distributors - as anyone can use it for his business and other things he does and for self-improvement.

One of the mentors emphasized the following question – How to create positive mental attitude that we can use and apply not only for business purposes but also for our daily life as well - regardless of professions, affiliations and life styles?

According to him, there are three reasons why most people failed from doing business and from other things they do such as:

  • fear from rejection
  • fear to fail
  • fear from nothing.

To create positive mental attitude according to him - a person should work hard to overcome Fear and Doubt by doing the following:

  • change his attitude – from negative to positive thinking
  • he has to adapt good learning attitude
  • have strong belief of himself
  • should adapt the 100% level of commitment
  • he should focus on his goals with enthusiasm and
  • he should be prepared for discouragement

He further said, ”In business it does not promise him success unless he does his home works and hard works. There must be labor before the reward. He should plant before he can harvest. He will sow tears first before he can reap joy!”

No Shop for Ideas

Some of us are asking Where do you get your column or article ideas rather than How do you think up article ideas - the person quizzing us is implying that there is a shop somewhere - known only to professional article writers - where we go to get ideas for articles.

Some of us would not admit to the silly, sad, quirky and downright worrying things that suddenly appeal to our imaginations and make them rush to put down a story article or a column on paper because we always thought that by doing it is weirdness - without realizing that if we can think up two, three, six or more article ideas a day - they are as likely to share that solid-gold secret as a guaranteed system for attracting more traffics and views.

The truth is that article writers or columnists don't need an idea shop. They are constantly churning over snippets of ideas in their heads, slotting together random thoughts and seeing what gels into the beginning of an article. They keep their eyes and ears open.

Observation is the key. Don't let ourselves become so hassled that we don't have time to look around. Article ideas are all around us. We just need to stop and watch. By recording things that we see around us improves our observational skills. So stop, watch, record and think.

Sources for ideas:

1. What if - Here we must imagine a world where everything we know gets turned on it head. What if there was a place where children hated ice cream but loved vegetables. What if animals could talk as fluently as the same the language that people use?

2. Talking Pictures - grab a bundle of old magazines. Cut out any pictures that take your fancy. Stick them in a drawer. When you look at them months later - out of context - you will be astounded by the ideas they spark.

3. Holy Smoke - people have been raiding the Bible for story ideas for more than 2,000 years - why stop now? Cain and Abel, Adam and Eve, Noah's Ark. There is not copyright on it.

4. Once Upon a Time - there is no copyright on fairy tales. Imagine the fun you can have sticking Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs into fiction setting - maybe she's an astronaut and the dwarfs are aliens.

5. Read All About It - the newspapers are packed with story ideas - hidden away in the quirky fillers at the bottom of the page. A quick scan of one day's papers should provide us with enough ideas to write.

6. Scribbles - jotting down a line or two when we see or hear something that tickles our imagination while we are out and about. Then when we need to write a story article - we will have a fund of potential ideas.

7. Funny Titles - when we are out and about or when we are alone sitting down on our favorite chair, we sometimes spotted ourselves laughing - usually it is happening when we are thinking event happened from the past or an event happened just recently. They are mine of ideas too.

8. Bard Luck - Shakespeare can be another great source of ideas. Sometimes you have to take time to read Shakespeare writings.

9. All The Pun of The Fair - we can also get a quirky new article idea from playing about with puns - about the humorous use of a word or phrase so as to emphasize or suggest its different meanings or applications, or the use of words that are alike or nearly alike in sound but different in meaning.

10. Nick, Nick - I am not advocating plagiarism. I don't suggest that we will go round stealing other people's articles and stories but we can come up with fresh ideas using published works as inspiration. We can also borrow from ourselves. If we are lucky enough to have several published articles under our belts we can go back and look at them and rewrite them.

How to Write Your First Article or Story

Words have a power all their own

Words have a power all their own (Photo credit: waɪ.tiː)

To write article or story is not easy task but it is within everyone’s grasp – if you know the right techniques. It is a mechanical process that everyone can master if you use the right ingredients. In my experience as a blogger, I found some interesting things needed to improve with my blogging hobby. The following are some of the interesting points that value an article and I would like to share them here.

Title Of The Article

The title of the article should be an attention grabbing or a descriptive one. Also it can be in a form of a question. Ten words for a title are acceptable but if you can shorten it, the better.

Introduction of The Article

The introduction of the article should reveal the most interesting and most highlighted points about the article’s contents.

What Attract More Readership?

Images, photos and videos included in the article can help attract more visitors and readers. They are available in the internet though it is better if you owned them.

The Importance of Tags and other Keywords

Some of us write their blog articles without considering the importance of tags. Tag is a word or group of words that suggests about the contents and substance of the article and when a surfer hit that word during his search it will lead him to a particular article. Some writers use the titles of their articles as tags.

The Importance of Back links

I learned that not just any back link will do. Only those from sites with relevant topics or subjects get counted. So if you wanted to apply back links on your article sharing - if you can avoid do not use click here use text words

Nobody Is Perfect

Article should not contain a bunch of wrong spellings, punctuations and grammar errors though we sometimes overlooked of them. Of course, nobody is perfect here. However, we can avoid them.

Inject Honesty And love

Lying here is a sin and a crime. So before writing your article, you would have to gather information that will support your article and investigate them before hand for their validity.

Avoid Writing Long Article

If your article is long write it by parts. The best length of an article that people read mostly during surfing the net ranges from 200, 300 to 500 words or a 5 minutes slot.

Avoid Run-On and Long Sentences

Of course, no-one will kick you off if you used run-on sentences when writing article. However, it is better to avoid them. Short sentences in your article are more readable and understandable.

The Importance of 5Ws When Writing Article

The article should answers the 5Ws: Who, What, Why, When and Where - before you blog it. This is a basic formula that needs attention!

Scientific Calculation of Our Exact Age

December 23, 2010

December 23, 2010 (Photo credit: Bailey & Muppet)

For me exact age means the exact number of years, the exact number of months and the exact number of days of your life in this planet. Your knowledge in Mathematics will be applied here to compute your exact age. It maybe by applying addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

Before computing your exact age, first you have to familiarize the months of year and days of months. There are twelve months in a year such as (1) January – 31 days, (2) February – 28 days plus 1, if it is leap year, (3) March – 31 days, (4) April – 30 days, (5) May - 31, (6) June – 30 days, (7) July – 31, (8) August – 31 days, (9) September – 30 days, (10) October – 31 days, (11) November – 30 days and (12) December - 31 days.

Assuming you want to know your exact age today. Your birth date recorded on your birth certificate is December 23, 1980. Today is December 23, 2010. Your exact age is 30year old today. How did you arrive that answer?

Looking at those dates, you immediately subtracted (2010 – 1980) = 30. This is right because you were born with the same month and day.

The proper computation for your exact age based from those dates and by applying subtraction method will be: Present date minus your Birthday date as shown below – starting subtracting the day then month then year.

2010 – 12 – 23 - the present date, (year, month, day) December 23, 2010

1980 – 12 – 23- your birth date, (year, month, day) December 23, 1980

0030 – 0 - 0 - your exact age, 30year old

What if you were born on December 29, 1980? How old are you today? To get your exact age here, you will apply the same formula: Present date minus Birth date plus Borrowing the Year, the Month and Days and apply Addition and Subtraction methods.

2010 – 12 – 23 - the present date, (year, month, day) December 23, 2010

1980 – 12 – 29- your birth date, (year, month, day) December 29, 1980

x x x – your exact age today

Step One: You cannot subtract 29 from 23 as 29 is higher than 23. What you will do is borrow days from month and add them to 23. In this calculation the number of days of every month is ignored. It is normally believed that a month is equals to 30 days. So 23 become 53 days (23 30).

Step Two: Because you borrowed one month which is equals to 30 days from the month of present date, the 12 became 11. Now you cannot subtract 12 from 11 as 12 is higher than 11. What you will do is to borrow months from year and add them to 11. One year is equals to 12 months. So 11 become 23 months (11 12).

Step Three: After borrowing 1 year which is equals to 12 months, the year 2010 become 2009.

Now to get your exact age, consider the changes of the present date December 23, 2010 which is 2010-12-23 became 2009 the year, 23 the number of months and 53 the number of days or 2009-23-53. While your birth date remains the same as shown below.

2009 – 23 – 53 - the present date, (year, month, day) December 23, 2010 has changed.

1980 – 12 – 29- your birth date, (year, month, day) December 29, 1980 remains the same.

29 - 11 - 24 - So today you are 29 year old, 11 months and 24 days. Happy Birthday.

ExpertsColumn versus Triond and Wikinut

Triond.com

Triond.com (Photo credit: Blogue Techno)

Despite diverse feedback we read about those sites, still, they are all standing robustly as strong bridges for our ideas and our inspiring thoughts to pass by for the thousands or for the million net users across the Internet. They are serving as virtual worlds where to share of our alluring dreams and our exciting emotions. And sometimes the focal points of friendships among writers.

Do I have the rights to compare Triond to Wikinut and to ExpertsColumn? I know that they are all admirable sites. I honestly say that I got the difficulty to distinguish the differences between Triond, Wikinut and ExpertsColumn at which I am happily writing with. My question now: How the three publishing sites differ from one another? What method I should use to spot their differences?

Here I applied some keywords and tags. They are representing the same 23 articles or columns that I have published at Triond, Wikinut and ExpertsColumn. And through them I aptly had determined how effectively those publishing sites supported their writers in the manner of attracting views and promoting their writers’ stuff across the net like:

  • Positive mental attitude
  • Children and adults
  • Blogging hobby
  • Online income
  • Promoting articles
  • Backlinks and backlinkings
  • Blogs and blogging
  • Website marketing
  • Travel articles
  • Paying sites
  • Scientific age calculations
  • Internet and technology
  • Fighting for life
  • Bookmarking sites
  • Religion and faith
  • Business and opportunities
  • Holidays
  • Celebrations
  • Social networks
  • Values of networking
  • Tweeting and Twitter
  • Google AdSense
  • Milk and honey

As I said earlier, those keywords and tags are representing the same 23 articles published on those sites and they helped me determined the differences between the three publishing sites in term of views respectively. As of this writing from March 1, 2012 my Triond pages garnered a total of 525 views so far. My Wikinut pages received a total of 15,103 views. While my ExpertsColumn pages received a total of 1,402 views. Of course, I used the same method on sharing those 23 articles published at Triond, Wikinut and ExpertsColumn across the net. But Triond has the least recorded views among them.

Earlier this month I received payment from Triond for February amounting to 66 dollars cents. At Wikinut I also received payment from December 8 to March 7, 2012 (3 mos) amounting to 3.02 Sterling pounds. And from ExpertsColumn I received payment from June 1, 2011 to March 18, 2012 on March 20, 2012 amounting to 5 dollars.

Summing up the total views from those sites from the date I began writing with them – my ExpertsColumn pages received a total of 2,101 views from June 1, 2011 to March 21, 2012. My Triond pages received a total of 30,931 views so far from August 17, 2010 to March 20, 2012. While my Wikinut pages received a total of 230,785 views from July 28, 2010 to March 20, 2012.

Ways to Attract Readers and Visitors

Blog of the day once again

Blog of the day once again (Photo credit: the Italian voice)

As a blogger, I found out that to create a blog site is as the same as when I write a column - from the title, description and the article body including the overall layout and presentation.

Your blog site is the storefront of your articles or columns and other stuff. It is also a cool place where to share all of your published articles from the different websites you are writing with. Your blog site needs to attract readers and visitors in order to keep them coming back. For that reason you would have to pull up your blog site and ask yourself a few questions.

Normally, when I visit other blog sites I usually asked myself the following:

  • Where would my eyes go first?
  • Can I tell what the blog site is about?
  • Is the information found above the fold is really important?
  • Are there benefits to enjoy that are clearly highlighted on the homepage?
  • Is there a clear call to action or a way to communicate with the owner?
  • Are the colors and fonts used are distracting to the eyes?
  • Would I feel personally connected on this site?
  • Are there links found to other social media?

Based from the above questions – I found out that to create a blogsite is not far as when writing a column. When you write a column first you have to focus on your column title. You might ask yourself the following:

  • Is it catchy? Or is it an attention grabbing title?
  • Would it attract visitors and readers to read the whole article?

Man, it is the same with your blog title – you need to use a title that would attract people to visit your blog site.

Your blog site description is as the same when writing a summary of your column. Your summary is the overall layout of your column body. Your blog description tells the most important section and parts found in your site. It suggests visitors and readers what exactly your blog site is all about.

When writing your column body sometimes you included photos, videos and links. They are normal and very effective method. They help attract readers to read your column. They are part of the overall layout and presentation of your piece. And much more if it is written with relevant contents. It is the same with your blog site. You need to include some attractions for your readers and visitors to stay longer.

Some blog sites I visited are equipped with some media tools like: Music videos, Movie videos, MP3s, Photo albums and some with podcasts. Others included Encyclopedia, Dictionary, Social networks and other links going to other websites where the blog site owner is also connected with. Others included chat rooms where the visitors and readers can leave their messages or to chat other visitors.

In a survey – it is found that not all visitors like to read articles published on a site instead, they like listening articles on podcasts, watching music videos and movies, listening MP3 music or scanning the photo album pages to spot unique and awesome photos.

It is not yet too late - once you determine a few areas where you can improve, develop a plan to start implementing changes on your blog site. You don’t have to do them all at once – just do a few at a time until you have a blog site that really attractive to visitors and readers. And if your visitors and readers stay on your site at least 5 minutes long you are lucky and they will keep coming back.

Plot is Important in a Short Story

Novel & Short Story Writer's Market

Novel & Short Story Writer's Market (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

To hold the reader's attention your hero must face a crisis or dilemma that demands his immediate and full attention. Overcoming it should be tricky or awkward. Not overcoming it will have serious repercussions. There is a strong likelihood he will fail. And the solution he devices has to be unexpected and ingenious. A common error is to confuse the basic set-up of the story - the opening crisis or situation - with the plot. The plot is what happens from there - how the events unfold.

A good basic structure looks like this: Introduction - main character faces a worrying conflict/problem/dilemma, Middle - in flashback we learn of the background and events that led up to the conflict and Ending - the conflict is satisfactorily resolved. Another workable structure is to have a hero who has a goal he desperately needs to achieve - and then put obstacles in his way.

Fiction writers should realize that there is no right or wrong way to plot a story - just different ways. As long as your tale holds the reader's attention, entertains and delights, then the method you use to achieve this end is as valid and effective as anyone else's. Some fiction writers do all the hard work in their heads, mulling over ideas, developing them, trying out different permutations until they come up with a workable storyline and then rush to write them as swiftly as possible.

To add the flavor a story should show conflict which is about anything or anyone that upsets the smooth-running of your main character's life. It can be internal such as a crisis of faith, a fear to be overcome or a problem created by a flaw in the character's own personality. Good drama looks at what happens when the extraordinary occurs. It shows how people react unusual and unexpected circumstances. Aim for a nail-biting finish. Keep the reader holding his breath until the last word. The more you place your hero in jeopardy the stronger the tension. Tingling anticipation and dread will hold readers glued.

Readers want to be taken out of themselves for a few minutes, whisked off to a world where exciting and intriguing things happen. They want their fiction to be different - more technicolor than real life. They read to escape drudgery and dullness, so always try for setting and plots that break away from the commonplace and mundane.

The plot is the most important factor in a short story and nothing - but nothing should hold it up or challenge it for the reader's attention. See also if you can have a circular or return ticket plotline where the story brings you back to the point at which the narrative started.

Also readers can get enough depression at home with red bills, ringing phones, noisy neighbors, demanding kids and grumpy spouses. They don't need or want to read a depressing tale, so make your stories light, positive and up-beat.

Another way of plotting is the shaggy dog story. The writer builds up conflict, piles on suspense and then unexpectedly produces a comic punchline. Always try to deal with topics in a way that leaves the reader feeling uplifted and full of hope.

Have storylines that show characters taking charge of their own destiny and standing up for themselves. There is no such thing as an original plotline so it's important that you find a new treatment that will make a storyline crackle with originality.

Keep the reader guessing. The more choices your hero has, the less predictable the storyline becomes. And having a simple theme to your story is great but don't set out to give it a moral. You'll end up a sermon or a piece of propaganda!

Another way of dreaming up plots is to look at proverbs and well known sayings and investigate what associations they spark in your mind.

KISS a FORM of Business

Kiss expresses sentiments of love, passion, affection, respect, greeting, friendship, and good luck, among many others. But in business KISS suggests a different meaning. Businessmen use KISS strategy on their prospecting. Aside from KISS they also use FORM. This article will explain – How KISS and FORM are use in Business.
If you were one of the businessmen who are engaged in a business like Multi-Level Marketing, People Referral, Network Marketing and other traditional businesses – you would have to plan some actions and designed them to achieve a particular goal. Your main goal is to become a successful businessman.
The life of your business will depend on your decision making and how you will work for it to hit success. Many of the successful businessmen who are engaged in Network Marketing business have applied the two most effective ways on their prospecting. They abusively used KISS and FORM to invite people.
In business the term KISS means – Keep It Short and Simple. Here you are advice – approach your prospects with a smile and be creative in inviting them. You can apply the direct approach by telling them that the business you are working is all about Extra Income or Part Time Job.
You can also apply through the Eye to Eye contact with the person you are talking to – if you saw him smiling, expect it at least 80% he would become your recruit. Your next move is to ask his contact number and invite him to your office or you can set the date, time and place where to meet him.
You can also apply the Referral method or the so called (refer people) – here you can ask from people about those people who are looking part time job or full time job or people who are looking for extra income. Leave them your calling cards or your contact number. You can also apply Phone Invitation. There are a lot of them on your mobile phone. They could be your prospects too.
Aside from KISS, the businessmen also use FORM on their prospecting tactics. FORM here means – Family, Occupation, Recreation and Message. You are advice here to start your conversation with your prospect by asking him politely the following: How is your family? How is your job? How much you earn with your job? What keep you busy nowadays? Are you happy with your job? Do you have other options to earn extra income aside from your job?
If your prospect answered YES to your last question, 90% he is your recruit and leave now the message to him like – Right now I am looking for a business partner. If you are interested, see me in my office or set the date, time and place to meet him.

To apply credit card in the Kingdom is not really a hard job but it takes time to get the needed documents. First, he has to get the approval of his employer about his plan to avail a credit card. If approved he will now request his employer for the certificate or an endorsement letter regarding his monthly pay. If his employer approved his request on the spot, the needed documents will be released immediately with the company and KSA Chamber of Commerce seal stamps but if not, he has to wait when his boss is available and comfortable to approve his appeal. Sometimes it takes weeks and months to wait.

Requirements  to get Credit Card

What is Iqama? This is an Arabic word for Residence Permit. It is the most important document that an expat in Saudi Arabia should bring with him every now and then. It justifies him that he is not an alien and he is legally working with the company that hired him in the Kingdom. It is an Identification card that caters all the information about him. It is needed for any imaginable transactions that he will transact inside the Kingdom. Without this there will be no transaction to happen between him and the bank.

Why Passport is needed? The bank will need it to record the following:

  • His country of origin
  • His nationality
  • His name and other information found in the passport

Correct names are important to Banks

The correct and complete names are important for the bank. If his name written on his Iqama is not the same what was written on his passport, it could be the reason for rejection. Bank needs the passport for comparison with the certificate of his monthly pay to help correct the error.

How important is the endorsement letter of his monthly pay? Through his monthly pay, the bank will determine if he will qualify to get a credit card. Aside from it, the bank will record the following important information such as:

  • The justification of the company or employer that the person is his legal employee and the name written on his Iqama and the name written on his Passport is the same person.
  • The number of years that the person has been working with the company and his work assignment.
  • The location address, contact numbers of the company/employer and the employee.
  • The total amount of the employee’s monthly basic salary, monthly food allowance, monthly travel allowance, monthly housing allowance and other allowances.

Original copies are also needed

When the applicant has already completed all the necessary documents, he will now see the bank and fill up the application form completely with his best choice option such as: unlimited credit or limited credit and submit it with the copies of the documents together with the original documents as the bank needs them for comparison. Usually, the applicant will wait at least ten to fifteen days before he will receive his credit card with important instructions, agreements and some confidential policies of the bank. Sometimes it takes 30 days or more to wait.

Credit card saves you

Credit cards are convenient and can also save you. Using credit card is a very convenient way to pay for your purchases – if you have the discipline to stay within budget. You need not to carry cash all the time and you get to keep a good record of your expenses. However, you must always keep the copy of your signed slip or the proof of payment each time you use it to keep track of how much you have already charged it. Always pay the full amount of the bank statement every month. If you do it there will be no interest charge. This is using the credit card as a simple debit card.

It is Really Hard to Make Myself Available for My Kids But I did it...

I quote here what John Gottman, author of The Heart of Parenting says, "Men must allow themselves to be aware of their feelings so they can empathize with their children. Then they must take whatever steps necessary to make themselves available to their kids." In my case I am thousand miles away from my children - it is really hard to make myself available for them. However, I did it...

Twenty-five years ago, I got married. During those years, we're blessed with three lovely children. Now they are young ladies. Our eldest is 22 year old. Our second daughter is 20 year old and our youngest is 19 year old - who is now on her 4th year accountancy.

During their early age - from their elementary, high school life and college days, my support is always there - not only for financial support but also to assist them with their school projects and other assignments. In spite, I am thousand miles away from them, if they needed my help for their school assignments - I am always available through Internet and mobile phones - one of the many reasons why I created my blog sites.

Year 2010, my 2nd daughter graduated from Computer Science Course.

Three months before her graduation, her English teacher gave her an assignment to write a short speech for Vice President Candidate plus another two questions that a Vice President Candidate should answer if his countrymen would ask him/her during his/her speech. That would be her projectand if she failed to submit she could not graduate according to her teacher.

After she received her assignments, she sent them to me immediately through email said, "Papa I need your help. Please write a short speech for vice president candidate. Also include these two questions: What kind of advocacy you want to proclaim to prevent the poverty in this country? and How would you balance federal foundation for transportation and road construction?"

Reading those questions was really a headache - I am not the one to graduate...but I cannot said no to my daughter. I have no choice but to comply her request. So, I started surfing the Internet, encyclopedias and other reading materials for information about the topics.

A short speech of a vice president candidate:

Thank you so much for the trust that you have trusted to me. Thank you for this opportunity to work with you as we raise the truthful reform. Thank you for the privilege that you have entrusted me of joining in the fight for a clean, honesty, integrity and trustworthy in public service, and for a government that puts first the people’s interest.

From the bottom of my heart, I accepted the challenge to achieve the true reform of good governance of this country. But this fight is not just about me. It is about our collective thirst and hungry for change.

My friends, this is going to be a tough battle. My opponents will use all forces in order to win. They have been there for so long and continuing robbing us. Now with your help, we should stop them. Let's stay hand in hand in this field of battle.

What kind of advocacy you want to proclaim to prevent the poverty in this country?

My Advocacy: The Filipinos should adapt the correct attitude.

Executives from rich countries who communicate with their counterparts in poor countries show that there is no significant intellectual difference. Race or skin colors are also not important: immigrants labeled lazy in their countries of origin are the productive power in rich European countries.

What is the difference then? The difference is the attitude of the people, framed along the years by the education and the culture and flawed tradition. The behaviors of the people in rich and developed countries are greatly followed the following principles in their lives such as:

(1) Ethics, as a basic principle.
(2) Integrity.
(3) Responsibility.
(4) Respect for the laws & rules.
(5) Respect for the rights of other citizens.
(6) Work loving.
(7) Strive for savings & investment.
(8) Will of super action.
(9) Punctuality.
(10) And of course...Discipline

Philippines is not poor because we lack natural resources or because nature was cruel to us. In fact, we are supposedly rich in natural resources. We are poor because we lack the correct attitude. We lack the will to comply with and teach these functional principles of rich and developed societies.

We are the most abusive to the environment - Illegal Logging, dynamite and cyanide fishing, hunting and poaching of birds and wildlife. We throw garbage everywhere.

How would you balance federal foundation for transportation and road construction?

I believed that building roads in rural areas promotes development through improved access to markets; health and educational facilities; the generation of alternative income sources; and better information flows.

My assumption being that the supply of transport services, such as freight and passenger movement, would naturally follow new road construction.

In the Philippines with a tradition of building roads with Portland cement concrete, here is now a considerable network of ageing roads needing rehabilitation. The traditional method of treating these roads is to neglect them until the ride becomes severely impaired and then to break out the old concrete and replace them with new.

I would request the Philippine Department of Highways to improve this situation by addressing the problem of concrete quality, using indigenous materials, and investigating alternative methods of rehabilitation.

But what is of more vitally important – I would coordinate directly to the national budget commission and request them to see to it that before releasing the funds for this project, there should be complete planning and specifications of materials and all the supposedly incurred expenses should have a corresponding transparency of expenses records available for the public.

My hard works were compensated to receive my daughter's reply

It took me three days to finish the project for my daughter. After I done it, immediately I sent it off to my daughter. And in two days, I received her reply said, "I love you papa. It was approved. Now I will graduate. Thank you so much. Muaaaaaaaa...!" My hard works were compensated to receive my daughter's reply.

The Funny Side of Easter Eggs Hunting is History

Easter eggs Deutsch: Osterreier im gepflochten...

As part of celebration, I also had joined with the thousands of net surfers around the world for Easter eggs hunting. Using my desktop computer, I had visited many websites hoping to find for some Easter eggs but I could not find even one so I decided to stop. Yes. I was about to leave when I spotted a dusty place where a lonely Easter egg was hiding.

I shouted, “At last I found one!” But what surprised me, when I broke its hard outer covering inside the Easter egg; I found two old published articles written by two Triond writers. And in my thought, maybe this will answer to some questions asked by some of Triond users like “What was the first article written by the first Triond member/contributor? Or who was the first Triond contributor who first published his/her article at the site powered by Triond?”

After my thorough investigation, I found the following interesting information such as:

  • After the official launching of Triond that took place on March 14, 2006, was followed by registration or signing up of some writers who happened to be the first official contributors for the sites powered by Triond.
  • Based on the date of publication of the article entitled “Traveling in The USA” the named “Clearwater” was the first Triond writer who wrote the first article and published it at “Trifter” on May 31, 2006 at 12:00AM. The author was a Esraeli national. He also had written two additional articles entitled: Mardi Grass 2000 published on July 8, 2006 and The Last Train Station published on April 20, 2009.
  • The second Triond writer who wrote the article entitled “How to spot an acting scam” was Brock Richardson. His article was published at Quazen on June 28, 2006. That was his first and last published article.

These findings were confirmed by Mr. Udi Oz – one of the founding officers of Triond and Mr. Alistair Briggs whom I considered as one of the most dedicated Triond writers – that Clearwater and Brock Richardson and their articles are already part of Triond history! Thanks to Easter Egg Hunting…
