A few days before the verdict "GUILTY" was served to the Chief Justice Renato Corona of the Supreme Court of Philippines on May 29, 2012, CJ Corona submitted his "WAIVER" without any condition to the Senate Impeachment Trial Court. And his waiver was believed by his accusers as "trick". Now the said waiver has attracted to the million Filipinos inPhilippines and outside the country and is believed as a very useful requirement to check and to measure HIT (Honesty, Integrity and Trustworthiness) of any government officials and employees: President of Philippines, his Cabinets; Court Judges, Senators, Congressmen down to Governors and Mayors.

There were eight articles of impeachment submitted by the 188 members of the House of Representatives of the Philippines on December 12, 2011 against Supreme Court ChiefJustice Renato Corona. And on January 16, 2012, the Senate has started the Trial publicly that according to Chief defense counsel Serafin Cuevas Corona has been deprived of due process because there was no notice and hearing before the Chief Justice was impeached by the House.
However, in Day 25 of Impeachment Trial of CJ Corona, the 8 articles of impeachment manifested to the Senate Impeachment Trial Court by the prosecution panel were down to three: Article #2, #3 and #7. Article 2 pertains to culpable violation of the Constitution and articles 3 and 7 constitute the charge of betrayal of public trust. On May 29, 2012, the final verdict of CJ Corona was materialized and he was found guilty on Article 2 of Impeachment – leaving the two remaining articles of impeachment for decision: Articles 3 and 7.
