Topography Makes Difference

In Philippines, it is the male cat that is seducing and calling the female cat’s attention to play with him. However, the female cat will just ignore his call. She would run away and screaming so hard “Not now. Not now!” But the male cat would have to run after her, insisting “Now! Now!”

Cats are brilliant.  A female cat is an expert. She uses her body language effectively to seduce the male cat for making love without sounds. Not long ago, at around 8Am in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, I spotted two loving creatures passionately making-love. I did not hear any sounds at all. The female cat used body language to convince the male cat for making love.

The Power of Body Language

The female cat has waved her tail in front of the male cat. At first the male cat has ignored her call but the female cat insisted it vehemently. She did not stop swinging her tail until she had convinced the male cat to play with her. When the male cat was convinced, he ran quickly into her back and started pushing his body ups and downs until he finished it for less than a minute.

Cats are Social Species

Cats have acute hearing and ability to see in near darkness to locate prey. They can hear sounds too faint for human ears and can hear sounds higher in frequency than humans can perceive. Cats also have a much better sense of smell than humans. They are a social species and use a variety of vocalizations, pheromones and types of body language for communication. These include meowing, purring, trilling, hissing, growling, and grunting.
