Pagpalain po tayo ng Panginoon. Hindi po biro ang lumayo sa ating mga pamilya. Hindi rin po madali na labanan ang lungkot. Ang paghahabi o pagsusulat po ng tula't kuwento ay nakita ko po na effective way to fight homesickness/homesexness. Sa paraang ito ay nagagawa kong paglaruan ang iba’t-ibang imosyon gamit ang mga salitang tumutumbok sa tunay kong damdamin at diwa. Kahit nasa gitna po ako ng problema, idinadaan ko po iyon sa paghabi ng tula sa ngalan ng pag-ibig.

Malawak at malalim ang pang-unawa 

Ang pangit ay kaniyang napapaganda

Nakapagsasalita kahit wala s’yang

Sinasambit na mga taludtod o kataga...

Dilim ang kan’yang nakikita 'pag araw

Subali’t nasisilaw siya 'pag gabi

Mga mata’y nakakakita ng mga bagay

Na siya lang ang makapaglalarawan...

Taglay n’ya ang ekstrang pares ng tainga

Nakaririnig ng kakaibang himig

May ekstra s’yang ilong na nakalalanghap

Ng ibang baho, bango’t lansa ng buhay...

Matamis mangusap ang kaniyang puso

Saya’y hatid sa damdaming may siphayo

Simbolo’y gamit n’ya, imahi’t kataga

Napasasaya ang matamlay na diwa…

Gamit ang papel at ang kan’yang panulat

Hahagkan n’ya ang buwan at mga bituin

Na kumikinang sa kalawakan

At nagsasaboy ng liwanag sa kadiliman...

Nguni’t mga nalikha’y walang kahulugan

Kung lahat ay tiniklop at ibinaon

Ang ipinunlang kaisipan sa tao’y

Mabubura, pati ligaya ng kahapon...

S’yang Makatang pinagpala ni Bathala

Nagtatago sa likod ng kan’yang pluma

Ang bisyo’y paglaruan ang mga salita

Upang damdami'y ipaabot sa kapuwa!

Hula: At The Age of Fifty-Seven I Will Be RIP

I remember, I was 7 year old at that time an old woman looked at my palm and said, “Your life will be full of drama. You can go so far away but at the age of 57 you will leave this world.” Now I am already 52 year old and if the “hula” will happen I have still five years to live.

(Note: Hula is a Pilipino Tag-alog with corresponding meaning in English as Forecast, Guess, Prediction and Prophecy. In other Dictionaries - Hula is a Polynesian dance characterized by undulating hips, miming movements of the arms and hands and usually accompanied by rhythmic drumbeats and chants. It is also a Hawaiian dance performed by a woman others called it Rain Dance - a ritual dance intended to bring rain.)

If only I could choose to stay forever young, So I could enjoy the rest of my life – I’ll do it though I know it is impossible…

If I could only go back to my young age life Where I lay in peace with the caring world That gave me light, strength and hope As a little child so full of innocence With my neighbor’s angels:

Playing hide and seek Swimming in the crystal river with the morning puff of wind Climbing up the trees, crawling on sandy shores Skipping over the green meadows And pretending flying like birds in the breeze…

Now I am in my Mid-Life And it is claiming me restlessness And itchy feet a symptom My strength is deteriorating I’m scared of hearing those seconds Those passed when the clock sings I can hear cries when the sun descends As loud as the roaring thunder and lightning Their sounds are bouncing back on high mountains Brought by the strong wind – they caused fear!

I am certain that everything in this world comes and goes Although I would wish to be always a youngster And enjoy my youth to the utmost!

Love Breathes Anywhere and Everywhere

Love breathes anywhere and everywhere even in dreams. It gives life to a hopeless heart.

I was alone in the beach nearby
When I got scented of a perfume
Which was familiar to me
I heard footsteps and a chilly voice
My head whirled and I saw you
Upended behind me with your attire
Of the pearly gown you wore in our
First night of our honeymoon
You smirked:
Your smile dimpled your face
So I longed for you
And touched you with my thirsty lips
And we danced with the sea spray
That hugged our feet relaxing
On the sands beneath a cloudy sky…

But thereafter you disappeared slowly
You slipped from my hands
And had joined the thin air
Like bubbles you mixed with those clouds
Leaving me with your sweet fragrance…

The sun sank and you’re gone with the breeze
But your love will be persisting in my heart forever!
