Which Do You Prefer to Submit -- a CV or a Resume When Applying a Job
I don’t care which style I should use – for me those important info about me should be included in my resume. My resume is a mixture of American and British styles. How about yours? For American style it is called Resume and for British style it is called CV or Curriculum Vitae.
Looking for some samples, I spotted that not all the information written on CV and Resume are the same. On a British CV, it is usual to put your date of birth. On an American resume you may choose whether or not to include your birth date, marital status, children and etc.
In American style – an applicant will feed his resume with the following information such as:
his name
his contact address
his contact telephone
his email address
his marital status
his children (number)
his objective
his attended education
his work experiences
his languages
his personal interests
his references (people)
Can you spot the difference between a CV and a Resume?
In British style – an applicant will feed his CV with the following information such as:
his name
his contact address
his contact telephone
his nationality
his marital status
his education and qualifications
his employment to date
his skills
his interests
Styles do not matter – an applicant can choose either the American style or the British style to submit when applying a job.
