Of all the search engines, it is only Google who often under going so many updates compared to Bing, Yahoo and other search engines on this virtual world. Yes. I understand that in business there is always competition. Without competition, business will be boring. And there will be no new online applications to come up. And those who cannot survive in the competition are the losers. But I can see Google is obviously trying to dominate the Internet. Google is again on their algorithm updates by using Venice – a city name in northeast Italy sited on a group of 118 small islands. After Panda, Penguin and Venice what comes next to use for Google updates?

For Google next algorithm updates, I might suggest that Google would use the names of the Holy Vatican Popes, the names of remarkable presidents of countries or the names of earthquakes that killed many people and destroyed people properties or to use the names of Hurricanes and storms. Or to use the names of different water snakes to justify the Chinese Year 2013 which is the year of the snakes that according to some Feng Shui experts 2013 is a lucky year for any business to engage and to venture. Since Google is on business – they should enjoy the good predictions of Feng Shui experts for this year 2013.

Of course, I do not object what Google is trying to prove to the billion surfers from across the globe. Yes. They are using and applying different names of their algorithms updates but again it is the same approach and purpose, only the name of every update made Google has changed. It is like Janus. Every time he revisited us – it is the same Janus people see, only the age has changed. And again this Venice update will result the same effect when the last two Panda and Penguin were intensified. There will be no new changes to see and to happen because mostly of websites and blog site owners are now professionally taking care of their sites.

For writers and other web content creators, Google updates is not really a problem. Write your columns intended for your readers. Write columns that are informative. Write columns that can inspire your readers. Write an engaging columns for your readers and visitors. Write columns with good quality, with good contents, and with proper grammar and spellings. Or if can you write a perfect column – it is better but there was no record yet that a writer has perfectly published online a perfect article or column without errors. Google and other search engines are there to help searchers on their searches. But writers should adhere his intentions why he writes – it is for his readers not only for SEO. What is the use of SEO if there were no surfers?

Promote Your Articles Using Its URL Links Alone

On the day I started writing for ExpertsColumn, I did not depend from this site to promote what I published here. I have applied my own ways on promoting them across the Internet which is legal and no spamming. Every column we created, there is always a URL link – and that column URL link is powerful and can fly across the Net by sharing it to many social networks, bookmarking sites and blog sites including other publishing sites that I am also connected with.

Remember the power of back linking – if you are decided to market your article on your blog site, you can display it by using the title of your awesome article and then insert the URL link of that article. It is not appropriate to link the URL link of your article using the word please “Click” or “Click Here” most of the time search engine crawlers, other spiders and Internet surfers would skip to crawl down it because it takes time to identify what has been linked as crawlers crawl down pages in seconds or crawl it very fast.

So better use word text that identifies what your link is all about. And whoever clicks the link you shared on your blog site, traffic and views would pour down to your column pages as visitors and readers use social networks and bookmarking sites to visit your pages. Even if your column does not have tag, still it can be marketed outside the hosting site. By using alone the permalink of your article or column and share it also to some forum groups you are connected with is also an awesome way to attract traffic and views to your article page.

This method is legal and it conforms any site policy. Nobody will kick off your ass by doing this. Most of the writers: bloggers, novelists and other networkmarketers and other online businessmen and women are also applying this method. But of course, use it responsively. Social networks, book marking sites, forum groups and other e-groups have their own rules and policies to follow, so you must adhere their rules and rulings.

The permalinks of all columns you created are available for this purpose. The only needed here is your time and efforts and when will you will start sharing your columns across the Internet. You do not have to become a Internet wizard - just by copying and pasting the permalink of each of your column to the target places you desired can be done in less than a minute.

Use Google+, Facebook and Pinterest For Your Articles Marketing

Legally and without spamming, you can promote your columns across the net through the different methods to use. There are several ways to market columns across the net. And there are several media tools available online to help you for this purpose. You can maximize the use of all social networks and other bookmarking sites you are familiar to expose your stuff across the Internet.

My Google+ Profile Page

First of all, you should create an account at Google+, Facebook and Pinterest. And then make friends with other users on those websites. Visit their profile pages. If you’re happy to leave some comments on their profile pages – go ahead, you can do so. If some of your friends shared some stuff to you – appreciate them. If they asked you to share those stuff to your other friends – fulfill their wishes – these are part of establishing friendships virtually on this virtual world. Now if the time comes that you requested them for their favors – they could not say no.

At Google plus – you can create a Google page aside from your Google+ profile page. Your Google+ page will cater all what you published on this site. The method is simple – just share the URL link of every column or article you published here on that page you created at Google+. After you shared the link – you will see the title of your article and the summary of your article. And share it publicly or share it only to your Google circle of friends.

At Facebook, you can also create a page about your article pages. Just follow instruction on how to create a Facebook page – they are all available on their site. And when it is done, you can start sharing your published columns on that FB page you created. This is not about FB Networkedblogs. What I am talking here is about a page created only for all columns you published on ExpertsColumn and other websites you are writing for including from your blog sites. This is not also a FB fan page.

When everything is established – start now inviting your FB friends to like your newly created Article Page at FB. This is my FB page I created for my articles the name is: Wikinut Awesome For Articles Sharing. So far, it garnered 47 likes and they are my followers already. And this is open to all the writers who would have the interest to like and share their awesome articles on that page too. And I allowed at least three articles to share per day but I reject items especially about porno.

The methods I applied at Google+ and Facebook is as the same I applied at Pinterest. On that site my Pinterest account name is pruelpo and the link is Pruelpo on Pinterest. So far, I have fifty two followers. Some of them have also re-pinned what I pinned.

Facebook Policy Over Sharing of User Data is Not a Big Deal For Me

  

Users of Facebook should know that it is a social site and as well as a business site for everyone who likes business too. Users should take care of themselves too. And when it comes to confidential matters – they should think ten to one hundred times before uploading them to the net.

I am not so strict loyalty on privacy – this is Internet whether you like it or not – what ever you published on the net either it is privately or publicly – it can still be accessed by people who are genius on computer technology. Facebook is a great social place to interact with friends, family and close relatives. Unless you are a criminal or a terrorist you should have no reason to be afraid of your privacy.

For the past three years I am with Facebook – every time Facebook changes its policy, I noticed it that the site was always sending me some alerts regarding a new site’s policy or for some changes on their site’s policy. If you are at Facebook you – yourself can notice that your time-line sometimes is full of stuff and other links shared by your Facebook friends or from people you are not connected with or familiar with – but there are options found on your time-line to control them you can either hide or delete them.

Now if you are the person to share your stuff to Facebook, there are also options available like share it on public or only for your chosen friends – (under sharing to friends, the stuff will be sent off by Facebook to the users valid email addresses), this is different from sharing directly to your friends time-lines, sharing to your own time-line, to your Facebook groups and directly to your Facebook fan pages. But again, anyone who receives those stuff can still control them either to delete them or to hide them.

Of course, I understand everyone has different views and I respect for them – but again and again I would insist “avoid uploading confidential matters to any social networks and other bookmarking sites” because Internet is full of thieves. At Facebook you cannot control people who wanted to share things to you. In my case, I already deleted numbers of shared items mostly about pornography from people who are not my contact.

StumbleUpon Accepts Anything as Long It Complies The Site's Rules and Policy

"This site cannot be reviewed" is the normal message from StumbleUpon that writers received. What must be the specific reason? Below is the screen shot of StumbleUpon Rules and Policies. However, I cannot see or I have no proof if WebUpon has ignored or has violated StumbleUpon Rules and Policies. 

Of course, StumbleUpon accepts complains from its users. A forum section or a discussion board is available on their site. The site also entertains complains from its users on GetSatisfaction site. There are two types of StumbleUpon users namely: Free and Paid discovery users. The main difference between these users - free users can upload articles, other stuff and other website pages that they owned, liked and loved but they should comply with the site policy - it is the same with paid discovery users, they can upload anything on that site that conform the site rules. With Paid Discovery, a user URL links for his website, video, etc. become part of the stream - this means the right audience lands directly on his web pages. Below is the screen shot of some of the articles I published at WebUpon. To date there are about 77 articles I already published at WebUpon. These seventy-seven articles are banned at StumbleUpon - when I shared them through the normal way. Sharing the normal way is all about sharing your articles links, blog sites links or websites links - where you are asked for the following justifications like: Is the article, blog site or website safe to work or safe to view? What topics, tags or labels you will use? You have to write a review which is optional. This type of sharing is intended to over 20 million of stumblers for their votes, likes, views and recommendations or to rate of what you shared on the site.

StumbleUpon is actually accepting articles that are published at WebUpon through a feature called Su.pr + Clicks = Views. Although, any items you shared on this feature are not intended to likes, votes, recommendation or to rate from other users. However, the feature has potential to get views and traffic to your articles pages. And to know that this feature is created by StumbleUpon - has made me laughed and had thought maybe StumbleUpon is just bluffing WebUpon! Search Engines and The Billion Surfers are The Sources of Life of Our Online Published Articles

Search engines are there to help searchers for any terms that they are searching on the Internet. However, writers should also consider that one of the first important reasons why they are writing and publishing their works are for the billion readers and surfers around the world not for the Search Engines alone!

 There are million of online writers nowadays. Some of them are bloggers, novelists, journalists and other types of writers from around the globe. And because everyone is writing on the same virtual world - dominated by the different types of search engines like Google, Yahoo, Bing and etc. - online writers would have to write quality articles with searchable keywords and tags injected on them. To help understand to what I am trying to say on this article, I will start to discuss to you about competitive keywords, non-competitive keywords, keyword phrases,keywords and tags but of course, I would ask you to join with me to flesh them out and if possible share here what you know about them too.

What are competitive keywords?

Honestly, I personally admit I am confused and not certain at all about competitive keywords. Are they not simply words that are used a lot? Or they are special words that many people have used them on their columns writing. And there are people using the expression competitivekeywords and described them as - when a word or a phrase has at least 350,000, 500,000 or it begins to approach the 1 million return mark on Google search and other search engines - they are already considered as competitive keywords. How much more if they reached billion?

I consulted them to many English dictionaries and Encyclopedias but they failed to give me a specific definition about competitive keywords. But in corpus linguistics, keywords is defined as "words that appear with statistically unusual frequency in a text or a body of texts". They are identified by software that compares a word-list of the text with a word-list based on a larger reference of complete collection of writings. They are an essential part of any language.

What are non-competitive keywords?

It is said that non-competitive keywords are also words appear in a body of text but the returnmark on search engines do not show an extra ordinary frequency compared to competitivekeywords. The reason is that - most writers are targeting keywords with high return marks on SEO. But some SEO experts have advised writers not to ignore non-competitive keywordson their writings because now search engines are also looking unique terms to crawl down as well as the billion Internet surfers.

What are keyword phrases?

This is obviously a self-explanatory though I still asked help from English dictionaries and otherEncyclopedias to define phrase. They define it as a group of words or sometimes a single word that form a constituent and so function as a single unit in the syntax of a sentence. Normally, surfers are also using keyword phrases on their searches. Below are the 10 top search phrases used by unique visitors to my pages like:

• how to develop your imagination
• why dating daan believers do not cut their hair

If visitors typed those phrases on their searches - they will be redirected to those articles written by writers with subject topics describing those keyword phrases. So writers need them too on their articles online writing.

What are tags?

Again this is a self-explanatory. They are simple keywords or phrases that writers used with functions to guide, describe and to identify the authorship and what they wrote. Below are sample of tags that many writers have also used and myself too namely: Business, education, Facebook, get more, google, How to, Life, online writing, paid to write, people, pruelpo, Saudi Arabia, society, ExpertsColumn, Wikinut, Wikinut Awesome, triond, Twitter, web marketing, what are, what is and writing tips.

Sub-Domain Versus Domain Name

If you’re planning to build your own website – first you have to determine which web address you will use for your website: Is it by using a Sub-domain or your own Domain name? Below are short accounts of comparison between Sub-domain and Domain name. Of course, which ever you will choose it is best for you – you are the one to pay for your registration.

It is said that having a sub-domain can act as a nice way of organizing your domain name into different branches or departments and it is a good choice for displaying your website on the internet. But the disadvantage – it is viewed as very amateurish in the online world. Not like having a domain name which is the overwhelming option of choice for a person wanting to make money from his website.

A Sub-domain is a web address that is part of a parent domain name. Sub-domains typically serve as a secondary way of displaying your website. Examples of sub-domains include: maps.google.com, or dir.yahoo.com. You can see that each of these websites use sub-domains as a secondary way of displaying different branches of their businesses, while they use a domain name to display the main part of their business. So maps and dir are subdomains of the parent domain names google.com and yahoo.com.

For example, your web address would be something like: http://YourName.Google.com where YourName is the name you choose for your site. Having a sub-domain can act as a nice way of organizing your domain name into different branches or departments. If you’re not looking to make any money from your website, a sub-domain is a good choice for displaying your website on the Internet. Another example is paulpruel.hubpages.com and wikinutawesome.blogspot.com. So PaulPruel and WikinutAwesome are subdomains of hubpages.com and blogspot.com.

However, if you’re looking to make money from your website, having a sub-domain will put you at an immediate disadvantage because they are viewed as very amateurish in the online world. If you’re immediately seen as an amateur, you will not be able to build the trust you will need with your visitors in order for them to pull out their credit card and purchase whatever it is you are selling. On top of that, it will be very difficult for your potential customers to remember where to go to visit your website.

While a domain name according to some experts is the overwhelming option of choice for people wanting to make money from their websites. Because a domain name is the web address that someone inputs into their browser to view your website on the Internet. Examples of domain names are google.com, eBay.com, or MySpace.com, Triond.com, Wikinut.com, ExpertsColumn.com an dHubPages.com. Having your own domain name, let’s see for example: www.paulpruel.com or www.paulpruel.org – you want people to remember you and your website. If you’re truly serious about your business, getting your own domain name is what successful online businesses do.

For the past 17 years, I am in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia – the homesickness for my family and friends I left in Philippines are my foes. Added that I cannot exercise and practice all of my human rights here as the same as I am in Philippines. I understand that the world is getting smaller and the people now belong to a global community because of the internet. In Saudi Arabia, the non-Muslims cannot exercise their religion in public and other human rights as the same as they are in their own countries. However, when I found the World Wide Web I had become addicted with it.
