The second origin of father's day and fathers' day was absorbed when Sondra Smart Dodd attended a mother's day sermon in 1909, and she believed that there should be a corresponding holiday to celebrate fathers too. Her idea was taken and the first father's day was celebrated by Washington State in 1910 in June - the month of Sondra's father's birthday.
The greetings "Happy Father's Day" have so many meanings: It may be said as your simple way to say thank you to your father, to show your love and respect to your father and more else. So now to say happy father's day is not merely intended for all the dead fathers anymore but specially to all the living fathers in the world for their unconditional love for their children too either they are singles or married fathers including all the church men (fathers) priests.
